ASSIGN YOURSELF: Review for test tomorrow with study packet and the design cycle steps!!

Objective: I will review for tomorrow's test

DO NOW: Students take out your HW packet
REVIEW FOR QUIZ (Put timer tools on for 15 minutes)

AGENDA:  
1) DO NOW  (Mr. Waller put timer tools on for 15 minutes)
2) Homework pages 9-12,  Go over (put timer tools on for 20 minutes)
3) Finish Newsletter: Remember to cite your source, include graphics, 
Must have a minimum of 2 lengthy paragraphs.  The checklist below was given to you to take home when you revised the newsletter. (put timer tools on for 15 minutes)
3) THOSE STUDENTS WHO HAVE FINISHED their newsletter SHOULD BE WORKING ON THEIR CULTURE VIDEO.  THIS IS PART ONE OF YOUR FINAL PROJECT, WORTH 2 TEST GRADES.  
4)STUDENTS REMEMBER THE QUIZ TOMORROW: Includes the parts of the design cycle-Investigate, design, plan, create & evaluate.

  • Write an interesting introduction that clearly states your opinion
  • Describe in your newspaper why it is wrong to enter a computer system without permission.
  • Explain some potential consequences of hacking
  • Include an appropriate title and byline
  • include a conclusion

OBJECTIVE;
Student: I will create my newsletter using my paper blueprint.  

Mr. Waller please-USE TIMER TOOLS IN DOCK

1) DO Now-15 min (set timer)(Mr. Waller, check their homework-packet-use stamps-use seating chart in binder)

2) IndependentAssignment-Newsletter complete-IN WORD (20 minutes-set timer)SCREENSHOT!!!

STUDENTS --ANYONE WHO does not have newsletter completely re-done with color and parent signature.  Must sit at center tables to create their newsletter.  Only WHEN THEY are completely DONE-100%, can they use the computers.  THIS CLASS, MUST FINISH TO BEGIN FRIDAY WORKING ON CULTURE VIDEO!  There must be a script posted.  

3) Go over HW Packet pages 1-4 (Mr. Waller, use binder- set timer for 20 minutes)

4)  Mr. Waller, plese REMIND students about their HOMEWORK PAGES 9-12  due tomorrow during DO NOW.

Objective: Assess knowledge and take quiz

HOMEWORK: Compare & Contrast the differences between a "Hacker" and "Cracker"-
Cracker -maliciously hacking- unauthorized hacking of a computer with intent to harm.
Hacker- unauthorized use of a computer for fun.--After grading your newsletter, use your homework time to re-do newsletter

DO NOW:
Play game -Win a million 3x as a class then take quiz.

Take Attendance-Write names of students as seated, then you can pass out their HW during quiz time.
AGENDA:
1) Do Now : (15 minutes)
2) Take quiz- on paper (25 minutes)--DEAD SILENCE QUIET- NO TALKING! OR AUTOMATIC DETENTION! -

3) Grade quiz in class- Each question is worth 5 points add the number correct. I will correct comparison of hacker to cracker. 13x5 max is 65 before I grade paragraphs.
